New Czech visa application center opens in Cebu City
The Embassy of the Czech Republic expands its service network with VFS Global as it launches its new Visa Application Center in Cebu City. Traveling to the famed cities of the Czech Republic from the Visayas region has become a lot easier and more accessible to the general public with the opening of the Czech visa application center in Cebu.
The Czech Embassy aims to provide efficiency and further service availability through its new visa facility to more applicants in the Philippines, especially to those that have difficulty applying in Manila.
The newly-launched visa center will be able to accommodate the growing demand for visas to different Central European countries, notably those going to the Czech Republic, among tourists from the Philippines. The Inauguration of Cebu VFS center was attended by Jaroslav Olša, jr., Ambassador of the Czech Republic to the Philippines, last June 20.
It is centrally located at Keppel Center, Samar Loop corner Cardinal Rosales Avenue. During the launch, Ambassador Olša emphasizes, “The launch of the Czech Republic Visa Application Centre in Cebu City reflects the [Czech Republic] country's genuine commitment in continuing to bolster people-to-people network between our two friendly nations through tourism, business and culture.
As a result of this policy, the Czech Republic will continue to emerge as one of the top European destinations for Philippine tourists.” Simultaneously, further promotion of the Czech Republic’s visibility in Cebu was joined by the travel promotions event, highlighting the tourism destinations of the Czech Republic in Radisson Blu Hotel extending to its Bohol leg. The event was made successful through the efforts of state-run agency CzechTourism, in partnership with one of the leading travel companies in the Philippines, Rajah Travel.
