Novak Djokovic signs with Lacoste

As early as the start of the year, there has been rumours that Novak Djokovic will be leaving Uniqlo in favour of French brand Lacoste.

Lacoste has just made it official by announcing the 12-time Grand Slam champion as its new style ambassador.

Today Novak Djokovic becomes the LACOSTE style ambassador, not only on, but also off the tennis court. His relaxed elegance and inventiveness are a perfect match for the French brand's DNA and its sports-inspired creations.
LACOSTE has developed for Novak Djokovic an eponymous clothing line to be worn on the court. These outfits have been specially designed to kit out the champion during the Grand Slam tournaments as well as dress him for other tournaments throughout the season.

The Novak Djokovic collection is a line of performance products that fuse functionality with style. This wardrobe, perfect for the players who, like Novak Djokovic, pay attention to all the details of a game, will be available in LACOSTE boutiques, starting May 2017.
All of the items in the collection were engineered from materials handpicked for their quality and performance. Every detail is geared towards comfort: ergonomic stitching prevents chaffing, while the cuts bring about ease of movement.
Novak Djokovic's signature is printed on the left sleeve of the polo shirt, which features graphics inspired by the lines of a tennis court.

The announcement coincides with Djokovic's 30th birthday and the Serbian has clearly been adamant about making changes in his career. The Lacoste announcement came merely hours after Djokovic revealed that he'll be working with tennis legend Andre Agassi starting with the 2017 French Open. Djokovic early this month parted with his entire coaching team.

Djokovic will start wearing Lacoste at the clay courts in Roland Garros, where he is defending mens champion, this year.
